ROMEO (long known as PlanetRomeo or GayRomeo) predates the grid apps and remains a fixture for gay men across Germany, the Netherlands and wider Europe, blending profiles, travel features and community. Where Grindr is thin in Europe, ROMEO often is not. The web platform still matters as much as the app.
