Our review
★★★★☆ 3.9
Match is the site that started the whole industry, and it remains a paid, profile-heavy platform that filters for people willing to invest in the search. The crowd skews 30s-and-up and genuinely relationship-minded. You need a subscription to do anything meaningful, which keeps casual browsers out but makes the cost of a mediocre month sting. Events and phone-date features add something the app-only competitors lack.
Pros
- Serious, older user base
- Detailed profiles and search filters
- Decades of matchmaking experience
Cons
- Effectively useless without paying
- Dated interface in places
- Auto-renewal complaints are common
