Our review

★★★☆☆ 3.0

Paktor ("dating" in Cantonese) was Southeast Asia’s answer to Tinder, strongest in Singapore, Taiwan and Malaysia, and later merged into a regional social-entertainment group. It understands local dating norms better than the imports, though the global apps have squeezed its share.

Pros

  • Regional cultural fit
  • Established SEA brand
  • Group chat features

Cons

  • Losing ground to Tinder/Bumble
  • Uneven country depth
  • Entertainment pivot diluted focus
